Kalium Health secures A4I grant funding to drive sensor innovation

Kalium Health, a company pioneering new technology to transform chronic disease management,

As part of their ongoing commitment to collaboration and knowledge exchange, Kalium Health has forged a strategic partnership with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). The A4I grant will facilitate this collaboration, enabling Kalium Health to tap into NPL's diverse expertise and benefit from their specialist facilities and world-class manufacturing expertise.

Kalium Health

Kalium Health is transforming the way that chronic disease are managed for millions of people living with kidney disease or heart disease. They are developing a range of products based on innovative technology for the very low cost, accurate detection of electrolyte levels in small amounts of blood.


Electrolyte imbalances, experienced by those with kidney disease, can lead to illness and sudden death. Similarly, commons medications for heart disease can also lead to dangerous high potassium levels.

Kalium Health’s technology will enable life-saving monitored by patients themselves without having to travel to a clinic for an invasive blood test.
